tried to watch the whole game between classes but with 2 outs in the top of the 9th, i gotta go to spanish….. a class i took all 4 years of high school because i was told if i did i wouldn’t need it in college…yet here i am in my 3rd college sememster of required spanish.

I really hope Karstens doesn’t make but a few starts this season.

I’ll give him credit for one thing, he does throw strikes. It’s just that he’s got average stuff and probably won’t be much of a major league pitcher.

I hope that once the real season starts Girardi is going to be very smart and selective about when to use “small ball.” We’re wasting a ton of outs on the bases today.

I like that’s he’s forcing the players to be aggressive in ST so that we can play that type of ball when needed….but beleive that it should be used selectively when the season starts (i.e. late inning close games).

Karstens is a good option for long reliever because IMO he’s next on the MLB ready chart after IPK. That means he can be a long reliever or spot starter.
