Watch your back, Chase Wright
The Yankees played a 3.5 inning intrasquad game this morning to get some work for Alan Horne, Mark Melancon, Chase Wright and Jeff Marquez.
Shelley Duncan (of course) had a hit. Brett Gardner threw a runner out at third. Jose Tabata had a sacrifice fly.
But the play everybody was talking about later came when Tabata walked and tried to steal second off Wright. Catcher Kyle Anson came up throwing and drilled Wright in his behind.
“I was sort of turned around and I didn’t get out of the way,” a chagrined Wright said. “It’s kind of funny.”

Watch your back-side, that is…

If that was Pavano he’d be out the rest of the year.
Forget the rest of the year, that would be a career ending injury for 19-start Carl.
Someone needs to put that throw on YouTube, please!
am i the only one who had to look up the meaning of “chagrined”?
