How about we stop talking about Crystal and mention that Mussina has 4+ not hit innings, I know its just the Pirates, but for Mussina that's a big deal.

Thanks for the story Laurie, I always wondered about the Mets hat thing.

BTW...
Crystal's 1st AB: worked the count to 3-1 before striking out.

Money, money, money.

Crystal played a Yankee fan in When Harry Met Sally, but in City Slickers, he wore a Mets hat.

At the time, Crystal approached the Yankees to do Comic Relief Night at Yankee Stadium. Comic Relief was created by Crystal and fellow comedians Robin Williams and Whoopi Goldberg in an effort to raise money for America's homeless. The Yankees turned down the request, but the Mets did not. The Mets donated a large sum of money to Comic Relief and let the three comedians come out to Shea Stadium.

"We made a lot of money for the charity," said Crystal. "I said, 'You know what? I am going to wear this hat for them because they did this for a great cause.' And that's why I wore the Mets hat in that movie."

Jennifer,
For me it makes no difference who the individuals are...lets say Boston was going to have Matt Damon play. It's still kind of comical to see the Yankees stoop to this even if Crystal is considered an icon.

Ray there is a huge difference between Ben Allack and Billy Crystal. Billy is an icon, Ben is well an awful actor.

I love Billy Crystal as much as the next guy, and he's done a lot for the Franchise. But does any one know why he wore a Mets cap throughout the City Slickers movie. The hat was not relevant to the storyline at all, which makes me think he could've worn a Yankees hat if he wanted. Which makes me question: Why, Billy? Why did you do it?
