Sam Borden of the Journal News was at Virginia Tech yesterday and writes about how much the Yankees coming to town means to first baseman Sean O’Brien.

Our report includes a video interview with O’Brien.

Nearly every notable Yankee is on their way to Blacksburg. This notebook also has word on Joba Chamberlain waiting for an important meeting.

Andy Pettitte looked healthy and sent Big Papi a message yesterday.

Sam is covering the Virginia Tech game. I’m headed over to the minor league complex to see Mike Mussina pitch at 1 p.m. Back later with an update.

Someone from Chappaqua should never root for the Red Sox.

One of the regulars here said his good friend Sean O’Brien was the guy to interview. Lo and behold! What a great article.
