Pete, I understand the logic for moving Joba to the rotation eventually. My only question is what happens if Farnsworth and Hawkins prove unreliable and other possibilities in the system (Melancon, Cox, etc.) aren’t ready for the major leagues yet? It’s easy to say that Joba is a starter long term and must be brought in that direction, but would Hank Steinbrenner allow Cashman to risk blowing a championship shot because he can’t get the game from the starters to Rivera?
