    Pete,
Do you think Ransom has a shot to make the club? Seems like they’re playing him everwhere in the infield to audition him for a utility role with the big club.

Lots of regulars making the trip to Bradenton. With all the good will and fun that they seemed to enjoy yesterday at Virginia Tech, maybe they should just drive down in the old Partridge Family bus. Giambi, of course, can play the part of Danny Bonaduce.

    Go Brett Gardner!!!

Why do they keep wasting innings on guys like Phillips, Igawa and Ransom when kids like Horne, Marquez and McCutcheon get virtually no chance to test himself against major league hitters?

Are the pitchers going to pitch in that order? If so I wish they would move Ohlendorf up so he can face some better hitters. Of all of them besides Hughes and Hawkins I think he has the best chance at a spot on the team…

I don’t understand the love affair with Ransom; Ensberg can always play third base, and any of the other utility infielders are much better defensively at short and second. I think Betamit is gone, though; it was a bad time to have a miserable spring.

I love to see that Gardner is playing almost everyday! It stinks that he is a lefty otherwise I think he would make the team. It seems that Girardi really likes him. I have a feeling we will definitely see him sometime this year, especially with Damon, Matsui and Giambi’s health always in question.

anybody know if this game is on tv and what time it is on?????

  9. Stan March 19th, 2008 at 4:06 pm

By right this should be Igawa’s last audition in a Yankee uniform.
Henn’s fate must be sealed. He hasn’t been seen in days.
Heath Phillips will also figure in with the next wave of cuts.

Igawa will not, i repeat, will NOT have shades on tonight…. if he pitches well this SOLIDIFIES my theory…

    so far this spring…

    Igawa with shades, 4.0IP 7H 6ER 4Ks 4BB 1HBP

    Igawa without shades 4.0IP 5H 0ER 3K 2BB…

make it or break it time….

Did he pitch with sunglasses on in night games?

IIRC didn’t the Yankees have him try to pitch without them during a day game, and that didn’t go over too well.

Why can’t the Yankees pitch Phil Hughes during a home game? I have yet to see this guy pitch this spring since YES only televises Yankees ST home games.

Enough Brett Gardner already!! (I’m just such a huge Melky fan that he makes me nervous ;) )

I can’t believe this is game #19 already!!

Hee hee I didn’t catch the typo the first time around, but that’s great. Just say it out loud: “Posasa!”

    ;)

    Jamal,

The Yankees don’t want anyone to see him. Supposedly, he’s given up a pair of homers on two hits. That’s it, kiddo, get the kinks out now. Is anyone watching this game? It’s on Fox in Pittsburgh.
