We would give anything to have finished second place in the AL east last year instead of sweeping the World Series. And yes I know all about the 26 World championships, but how many of the current Yankees were involved in any of those championships? That's the reason my wife & I travel 350 miles roundtrip from Massachusetts for every Saturday game. I wasn't pleased when the Yanks hit us with a 30% price increse this year for our Section 2 Tier Reserved seats. But at $27 they are still a good value for the enjoyment we get. We'll just pack a lunch more often rather than buy concession food. I have my fingers crossed that the Yankees won't price working families out of the new ballpark. We'll find out sometime during the season what our options are for the new Stadium. Until then, I'm going to focus my energy on rooting for what is,and always will be, America's Team.
