Special event at the Yogi Berra Museum

Peter Abraham
March
21

Dave Kaplan from the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center in Monclair, N.J., asked me to pass this along:

The storied 85-year history of Yankee Stadium will be presented by Alfred Santasiere III at the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center on Sunday, March 30 from 3-5 p.m.

Santasiere is director of publications for the Yankees and co-author of “Yankee Stadium: The Official Retrospective,” which will be available for purchase at the museum during the event. For tickets or for more information, please call the Yogi Berra Museum at (973) 655-2378.

If you have not seen “Yankee Stadium: The Official Retrospective”, you owe it to yourself to pick up a copy.

The photographs and writing are terrific. It’s the definitive history of the Stadium.

Actually a positive, proven article projecting the BIG Three in 2008. Theres been teams who have dominated with a young trio of starters, but they had very good bullpens and great offense..

Darn …I’m going to the Yogi Berra Museum on Saturday because we have other plans for Sunday. I’ve been to the Museum once before …it’s small but really nice. I have a friend up from Florida for the weekend and we are going to Opening Day so we figured a trip to the Museum would be cool just before the season begins.

    Go Yankees 2008 !!!!

Sorry if this has been posted, but WNBC in New York is airing “The Legacy of Yankee Stadium” tomorrow night at 7.

Go Yanks beat Rays. I don’t want to lose to that bunch of clowns ever again. Its time to lower the boom on that bunch of wannabees and their punk Manager.

Not sure if anyone posted this yet but since the topic is Yankee Stadium there is a web site that the Yankees have shared with season ticket holders soliciting them for “premium” seating packages. Check out the URL… it has some nice artist rendurings giving views from various places inside the stadium.

    Geeeez

Jumping the gun, aren’t they? There’s a season yet to be played.

I guess they’re not counting on anything happening this year which would qualify for mention in the book.

    56Bomber,

Wow, I guess if you can afford $700 per game it will be a great experience.

I remember when box seats were $8 a game and at the time I thought I was splurging.

Thanks for that very interesting link.

Seems like they should be able to slide you a couple of beers at $700 per seat.

It sure would be good to hear how Green Beret 7 is progressing. A poster that is sorely missed.
