    CB: you rule!

  2. rackem

Probably because they already knew what would happen if Igawa and his sunglasses would start.

  3. pat

Can I hope for trade in progress?

  4. CB

Albaladejo makes a lot more sense here. At one time he was a starter.

The long relief role is still up in the air. Neither Karstens or Rasner has really taken command of that spot.

I don’t know if Albaladejo or Patterson can throw 3-4 innings at a time. But I think it’s worth seeing if they can.

It may be unfair to ask Albaladejo to throw that many innings now given that his arm strength may not be there (he’s only thrown 1 inning at a time so far this spring).

It’ll be interesting to see how many innings they give him.

Maybe the Yanks traded Igawa for the Easter Bunny and 2 eggs!

  6. Jaewon

Even though it’s just Spring Training, I feel much better when Igawa is not pitching.

    Igawa traded? Sweet!

pat, since they gave no reason for the scratch, it is at least something we could hope for.
honestly i wonder what team is that desperate. do the padres have a need for a 5th starter anymore? i don’t think so.

Today is my birthday and I couldn’t ask for a better present! I can actually watch the game and not see Igawa pitch!

  10. Greg Cohen

    Who’s on first?

  11. Yankee4life!

Maybe the catchers hands reflect off Igawa’s sunglasses giving the hitter the location and signs of the pitch coming up?

    What’s on second?

  13. rackem

Mikeff maybe the Giants since Lowry is starting the season on the DL

Off-topic: I probably missed some bit of news, but I’m looking through mlb’s pitching stats for this year’s spring training. I can’t seem to find Beckett; has he pitched at all this spring?

    HOPE HE’S BEEN DEALT!

  18. Yankee4life!

Beckett was sidelined with back spasms I dont think he has pitched in a ST game yet because I couldnt find any stats for him either.

  19. Fran
