remember scutaro’s fluke home run off of mo early last year? i don’t remember ever seeing a more surprised face than his when he hit that ball. mo of course was as classy as ever…

For them to continue this charade with Igawa this spring seems pointless.

He’s been bad to very bad this spring and there’s no chance he’s going to make this team.

There’s still a lot of competition for the last two spots in the pen.

I’d much rather them give the opportunities to guys who may make the team. Patterson, Bruney, Albaladejo, etc.

Girardi may change the pitching rotation during the game but giving Igawa 3-4 innings is just a charade.

A bench of Molina, Duncan, Betemit, and Ensberg is not bad but I would have liked to see a guy like a Gardner who could pinchrun in the late innings but ptting him on the bench in the bigs would stunt his development. Betemit is a good utility guy but he lacks speed. Thats one reason I was a fan of Cairo. He was great defensivly at multiple positions aand had speed to PR when we needed a quick runner.

CB; Isn’t the reason Igawa is on the mound is that Girardi doesn’t want the jays to see one of the pitchers that they will actually face in the opening series? i bet those guys you mention will get a n inning or two later in the game

You got your wish, Igawa is not starting. The new starter is Albaladejo(?). See Pete’s latest post.
