Sat, 22 Mar 2008 16:15:28 +0000 http://yankees.lhblogs.com/2008/03/22/spring-training-game-22-jays-at-yankees/#comment-282312 A bench of Molina, Duncan, Betemit, and Ensberg is not bad but I would have liked to see a guy like a Gardner who could pinchrun in the late innings but ptting him on the bench in the bigs would stunt his development. Betemit is a good utility guy but he lacks speed. Thats one reason I was a fan of Cairo. He was great defensivly at multiple positions aand had speed to PR when we needed a quick runner. He's been bad to very bad this spring and there's no chance he's going to make this team. There's still a lot of competition for the last two spots in the pen. I'd much rather them give the opportunities to guys who may make the team.
