Could Bobby Abreu be the inspiration for Disco Stu of The Simpsons? These are things I wonder while sitting in Winter Haven waiting for a game to start.

Baseball players have been using Oakley glasses for years.

Bring back Studio 54 in full force. The time is right. The country is ripe for an uplift.

I’m curious about the reaction among the other scribes, sitting around waiting in Winter Haven regarding Canseco’s latest tome?

Pete, no offense, but you couldn’t find a pic of Bobby as a Yankee?

Alas, sigh, the Yanks are already a half-game back in the East. Manny standing at the plate admiring his three-run homer — which hit the wall — should teach him a lesson, but probably won’t.

Give Manny credit. He pummeled the ball today and looks poised to have another fantastic season. And with the contract issue, he may really turn it up a notch.

And Boston is already finding ways to pull out close ballgames, something the Yanks struggle with.

Quite a reach, if you ask me.

beefer, saying nyy struggles with close ball games is just like sayiing with girardi will never ever struggle with close ball games, which is just like saying boston has already found a way to close out close ball games… pure speculation
