Gardner’s still here, Lane’s still in camp, so is Ransom. Interesting. Patterson will get a bullpen spot, I feel confident of that. He deserves it, that’s for sure.

I doubt Melky Cabrera is in the veteran’s position of saying “I don’t want to take a bus ride today.”

Either he’s sore, or somebody actually wants to take one more look at Gardner in CF…probably the latter. Possibly, they just want to send Melky a message.

I think the Gardner thing is just about giving Melky a day off he has played in a bunch of games in a row and one of them was a travel game so he gets to stay at home rather than going to Clearwater.

He will be back in there tomorrow at home. Just your typical end of spring shuffling.

Sort of surprised about Nick Green thought there were a few teams interested in him for the ML team but I guess if you think you are going to the minors anyway Scranton team is not a bad place to be

If the Tigers released Byrdak, he must have had a horrible Spring. The Tigers’ pitching in general, and bullpen in particular, will be their downfall.

According to MLB.com’s Jason Beck, the Tigers released 34 year-old southpaw reliever Tim Byrdak today. Byrdak stuck out 49 in 46 innings last year, but also walked 26. He had a lousy spring.
