Greetings from Gate A-1

Posted by: Peter Abraham - Posted in Misc on Mar 28, 2008 Print This Post Print This Post | Email This Post Email This Post

Here we are again, at the Jon Gruden International Airport in Tampa. Flying to Miami shortly. It’s a short flight, but it beats what would have been a brutal drive.

I’m working on transcribing the Brian Cashman interview and will post it at some point. My voice recorder has a slow speed and Cash still talks fast. Plus I ran out of Red Bull last night.

Pete, I don’t know how you can drink Red Bull. I had to pull an all-nighter at work last summer so I went out and got some. I thought I was having a heart attack. They were seriously going to walk into the office in the morning and find me dead on the floor.

  2. jimmy1138 March 28th, 2008 at 9:38 am

Red Bull is no good, try some 7 up ;) .

  3. Doreen March 28th, 2008 at 9:40 am

Hah! I finally tried Red Bull. My daughter’s friend drinks it all the time. All I can say is that it must be an acquired taste, right????

Have a safe flight. (Lord knows driving anywhere in Florida is a huge bore.)

I’m looking forward to the Cash interview. I tried to come up with a question, but they all seemed too obvious. Hopefully some of you did much better than I could!

    Gus G.

    what’s up with Redbull?

Everything I’ve ever read says coffee is stronger than Redbull.

Does anyone else think that these might be the two best attended game at Dolphin (Dolphins?) Stadium thus year?

  6. Sam March 28th, 2008 at 9:52 am

Was Cash still talking about saving Mr. Steinbrenner’s cash rather than winning?!

  7. Sam March 28th, 2008 at 9:52 am

Maybe Cash was still talking about saving George’s cash.

  8. NYSuperFan March 28th, 2008 at 9:56 am

    Pete…give Rockstar a shot…way better than Redbull…haha

  9. David March 28th, 2008 at 9:58 am

The drive is BRUTAL. I did it last month after the Bar Exam, although the stadium is not far from the end of alligator alley. If anyone on the blog (that includes you PETE) is going to the game I will be a having a small tailgate of about 6-8 people before the game. Should be the only people at the stadium at the time…

  10. Brian March 28th, 2008 at 10:04 am

I can’t wait for us Yankee fans to take over Dolphin Stadium for the next two days. I’ve done that drive and it is very boring.

David did they make you buy 5 regular season games to buy tickets to the Yankee game?

  12. raymagnetic â„¢ March 28th, 2008 at 10:15 am

“Was Cash still talking about saving Mr. Steinbrenner’s cash rather than winning?!”

Yeah because Cashman hates winning more than anything!

  13. whozat March 28th, 2008 at 10:20 am

“I had to pull an all-nighter at work last summer so I went out and got some. I thought I was having a heart attack.”

I used to pull all-nighters all the time in college, with no more than soda to keep me up. The last time I tried to do one was my 2nd year of grad school (about 4 years ago now), and not only did I need 4 energy drinks to keep me going (I decided to buy a sampler of all the ones at the convenience store), but my body was just kind of…vibrating of its own accord by the morning.

Never again. My body has become too weak in my old age :-)

  14. David March 28th, 2008 at 10:23 am

No, just bought the tickets from the Marlins website on individual tickets.

  18. jennifer- Hip Hip Jorge March 28th, 2008 at 10:32 am

David I guess they changed it. When I first heard about the game, I heard that the Marlins were going to force people who wanted the Yankee tickets to buy opening day as well as other games. I guess the Yankees or MLB made them stop.

  19. Rishi March 28th, 2008 at 10:36 am

So excited – might have tickets for opening day…waiting to hear back from a friend who has season tix and has to work!!!

    rain on monday.

I imagine a long rain delay, but they’ll get the game in. Problem is the field will be slippery.

  21. wood is good March 28th, 2008 at 10:40 am

It’s pretty sad when it rains on gameday, but nothing is more effing depressing weatherwise than rain on Opening Day. Well, at least my loge seat will keep me dry….

  22. Kat March 28th, 2008 at 10:41 am

Weather can still change for monday. It’s only friday. Keeping my fingers crossed for a sunny and beautiful opening day!

Hey Pete, I’m curious as to how you’ll begin to cover the regular season. I’ve only started reading your blog recently and skimmed through the archives a bit. Will you be traveling with the Yankees, or just covering home games and such? What can we expect as to interviews, talks, recordings, etc over the course of the 2008 season?

    Keep up the good work!

“Mar 27 The New York Post’s Joel Sherman reports former New York Yankees bullpen catcher Mike Borzello, who many considered the confidant of Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez, said A-Rod was clean. “In four years I was with him 24 hours a day, and not one time did I ever hear, see or get wind of anything having to do with performance enhancing drugs, steroids, HGH, anything,” said Borzello, now the Dodgers’ catching instructor. “No way, with as much as this guy trusted me, would he have kept that part of his life secret from me. He trusted me with everything, and I was with him every day all day long. It would have been impossible to show me everything behind the curtain except for this.”"

This don’t sound like too good a deal for the Blue Jays.

“Acquired from the St. Louis Cardinals in an offseason trade, Rolen was injured when he was hit on the hand by a ball during a fielding drill Sunday on a back field at Dunedin, Fla. A screw was inserted in his finger during surgery Monday.
“The doctor gave a 4-6-week window from the time of surgery,” said Rolen, whose team beat the Houston Astros, 8-3, in an exhibition game yesterday.”

Just guessing because I’m bored at work:

I bet they start Andy on Saturday instead of Friday–it’s probably going to be 10 degrees warmer for Saturday’s day game as opposed to Friday’s night game. Better for his semi-balky back.

(Plus I’m going to Saturday game, and I wanna see him! ;D )

  32. saucY March 28th, 2008 at 11:08 am

i have 2 small bottles of the 5 hour energy stuff. i’m kind afraid to try it. no way that can taste good.

red-bull reminds me of what pop rocks would taste like if they came in liquid form.

  33. whozat March 28th, 2008 at 11:14 am

“This don’t sound like too good a deal for the Blue Jays.”

Yah, but that’s not the kind of injury you can predict.

I mean…they were basically trading one broken 3B for another…it probably wasn’t going to turn out well for them anyway.

“Hey Pete, I’m curious as to how you’ll begin to cover the regular season. I’ve only started reading your blog recently and skimmed through the archives a bit. Pete’s the Journal News Yankee beat reporter. He follows the team around and reports on pretty much all the games; that’s what a beat reporter does. All of them (most NY papers have one) hit the clubhouse after the game to interview people about the events of the evening, and Pete has a little audio recorder that he uses to capture that. He uses quotes from it in his story the morning after on the main lohud site, but he usually posts the full audio for us to listen to.

Use to work all-nighters on the road, Dunkin Donut chocolate chip cookies and a cup of black coffee kept me alert on the graveyard shift. Or when on long drives late at night Coca Cola and a big hershey bar very invigorating. After either I was ready to run through a wall. Tried red bull once, I agree with the others I guess you need to acquire a taste for it. Ugh!

Good link on the Rajah of Rehab, but Pags is also the guy who, after praising Igawa in a scouting report, pulled an “I told you so” on the Yanks in the press after Igawa tanked last year.

  44. gayle March 28th, 2008 at 11:39 am

Ok rain possibly opening day not suprised but here is the question of the day for me.

For opening day I will be sitting in the bleachers (section 53). Having never sat there my regular season tickets are located elsewhere any recommendations on how to deal with the bleachers. I believe you can walk to other parts of the stadium so if it rains are you stuck outside. what other hidden bleacher secreats might there be.

  45. Douglas Roy March 28th, 2008 at 11:42 am

    Pete,

Hanging out in the Tampa airport or a brutal drive to Miami. Sounds like the forces trying to get Federal and Florida state funding for a high-speed passenger rail link between Tampa-Orlando-Miami should hire you as a spokeperson. They could use the photo of you with Shelly Duncan

A brutal drive is NY to DC on a Friday during rush hour. I’ve done Tampa to Miami and it’s a breeze.

  47. trisha March 28th, 2008 at 11:44 am

Whozat and Ray – how about we forget the past and start fresh. We’re all here for the same reason. We can agree to disagree. Sound good?

Gayle, I’m pulling up lame. We got our tickets and they are in the very last Tier section in left field. I’m not driving 3 1/2 hours to chance a rain delay and sitting in the worst seats in the house. I just can’t do it.

  52. gayle March 28th, 2008 at 11:51 am

trisha you are totally wimping out the last opening day at the stadium and you are missing because of a little rain?? You know how the weather is you never know what it like it could just be overcast and no rain delay then you would knock your head against the wall for not being there

  53. wood is good March 28th, 2008 at 11:52 am

I dunno, Trisha…I can’t begin to think of how many games I nearly left because the rain seemed bad, then all of a sudden, the rain stops and blue skies appear.

God’s honest truth. I didn’t know my seats would be that high up. I’m also afraid that if get there and can’t deal with the height I am totally screwed. Would that at least make you think twice?

  56. Todd Drew March 28th, 2008 at 11:55 am

    Trisha,
I don’t know what it’s like to drive three and half hours – mostly because I don’t know how to drive – but it seems like a small price to pay to support your team. I won’t pass judgment because I can walk to the Stadium, but I think you should come no matter what.

  57. raymagnetic â„¢ March 28th, 2008 at 11:55 am

“Whozat and Ray – how about we forget the past and start fresh. We’re all here for the same reason. We can agree to disagree. Sound good?”

    Trisha,

I have no problem with you coming here and voicing your opinion. We are all guests in Pete’s house. However if someone voices an opinion that is not agreeable by everyone then you should expect a debate to ensue. You’re a lawyer, aren’t you used to differing opinions being debated anyway?

  58. wsr March 28th, 2008 at 11:56 am

it’s the last year of the stadium. in the grand scheme of things, while the drive may not be fun, in a year from now, you won’t remember that part, but you will remember being there for the last opening day in the stadium. Bring a raincoat and a camera, and realize that even if it rains/traffic/whatever, you’ll still get a great story out of it that you can tell for years. one of the great things about being a fan is being part of stuff like this. enjoy it if you have the chance.

i’d go, but the commute from tampa can be a pain.

Rolen was having a very, very good spring for Toronto both at the plate and in the field. They were very happy with what they were seeing from him.

He was hitting .345/.457 OBP/ .621 OPS over 30 AB.

Toronto doesn’t have a lot of hitting. How Vernon Wells rebounds this year is unclear.

Losing Rolen is a big loss. It sets him back after a very bad year last year.

Unfortunately, with him the injury wasn’t unexpected. Terrific 3b talent who has consistently proven that he won’t stay healthy.

He was definitely going to miss time this year, for the Jays its unfortunate that it happened so soon because now it gives him the entire season to jam his shoulder into the turf on a diving stop and miss more time.

The Jays have to prove they can stay healthy.

Maybe you guys process faster and better, but I actually was just putting a random thought out there (I tend to do that) and didn’t expect to get pulled into such debate. Now I know better. On top of it, trying to debate while at work, with a game in the background, well I don’t do so well with that.

Anyway, I will definitely save debate material for a time when there’s not game going!

I was busy yesterday and scrolled through the game thread afterwards to catch up on how the team had played.

I have to say – that was probably the least enjoyable game thread I have ever read.

The reason why most sports blogs are utterly unreadable is because they are filled with unnecessary bickering and fighting and people trying to browbeat others with their opinions.

This is one of the few blogs that isn’t like that. That’s why people come here and that’s why it works.

There are many really great posters who have been posting for a long time.

That’s what makes it an enjoyable experience. Intelligent discussion about baseball.

I really hope that we don’t see a repeat of yesterday because that kind of ongoing discussion makes posting absolutely pointless.

  76. Skippy March 28th, 2008 at 12:23 pm

G Love, I was at that game as well and it was HOT! I go to a lot of day games during the summer and I swear, that was the hottest game of the year. I stupidly wore jeans, a tank top and a tee shirt and had to take off the tee shirt and roll my jeans up as high as I could. It didn’t help. Rain delays are not too bad at all – just bring and umbrella and a towel to put down on your seat! :)

  80. Doreen March 28th, 2008 at 12:35 pm

There’s a learning curve, though. You have to learn to think before you type and choose your arguments. I have learned to skim over the posts that hit a nerve a little too sharply. Also you have to discern debate from argument. Debate on this blog is generally a great thing. You learn a lot. I bet a few people have had their minds, if not changed, opened, at least. Argument is another story altogether – no one is in the mood to be conciliatory, and no one learns anything. Those are the times I take a hike, so to speak.

And game posts are not for the timid.

doreen yes. I mean as long as they aren’t huge! I went to a football game and it was pouring. They wouldn’t let us bring it in. Most people didn’t want to walk back to their car to put it away so they threw them in the garbage.

  86. Todd Drew March 28th, 2008 at 12:42 pm

    Doreen,
They do allow umbrellas in the Stadium. You are, however, not allowed to put them up in front of me while the game is being played. It’s an obscure rule, but it’s in The Book.

  87. Skippy March 28th, 2008 at 12:43 pm

Jennifer, I’m guessing that was a Saturday afternoon game against Texas, when it was around 97 degrees with about 200 percent humidity.

  88. raymagnetic â„¢ March 28th, 2008 at 12:46 pm

    Brandon,

Good news about Humberto. Not so much good news about Kevin Whelan however. He’s out with shoulder pain.

  89. Brandon (supporting the new movement "Alex being Alex") March 28th, 2008 at 12:48 pm

IDK for how long Whelan is out :(

  90. pat March 28th, 2008 at 1:07 pm

Here’s my Soccer Mom tip of the day that I learned the hard way.

Get a rain poncho before you head for the stadium (about $10 for a reusable one) and leave the umbrellas home. Umbrellas are annoying to everyone around you and a rain poncho will keep you and your seat drier. They come in little pouches so they are easy to carry and in cooler weather they will keep you warmer.

  91. Brian from PA March 28th, 2008 at 1:08 pm

Is it supposed to be the main lineups for the last two games or are they supposed to get a lot of rest before the regular season starts?

also, just thought I’d share that in my last class i spent it creating a mock box score for opening day. since it’s my box score i can do whatever i want so the yankees will win 12-5 (that’s right Halladay will get shelled. i’m assuming he’s their opening day started) the heros are Alex and Cano. Alex will hit a pair of 3 run bombs, and will also single and strikeout. Cano goes 3 for 4 with a single, double, HR and a K and has 3 RBI. The other 3 RBI are two from Jeter, once singling to drive in Damon who singles and steals second, and the other one coming on a double that scores Cano. Matsui, Cabrera and Giambi don’t have very good days ( i couldn’t make it so everyone owned and the Yankees won 30-0). it was fun. if only the game actually goes that way!

  92. jennifer- Hip Hip Jorge March 28th, 2008 at 1:13 pm

Brian!! NO!! Halladay is on my fantasy team. How about 7 shut out innings from Halladay and Cano (also on my team) Hits a gs off of a reliever!!

  93. Brian from PA March 28th, 2008 at 1:15 pm

don’t worry jennifer Halladay will do just fine after a rough start vs the Yanks on monday.

  94. Brian from PA March 28th, 2008 at 1:16 pm

oh i also forget to mention where the last run comes from, it’s a double by Jorge that scores Giambi who walked.

  95. Doreen March 28th, 2008 at 1:18 pm

I agree. Ponchos are a great thing. My family used them for the first time a few years ago at Disney World. I never wanted to use them because I thought they’d be uncomfortable. They were kinda fun to wear, but mostly, they worked! You keep dry and no umbrella necessary. Of course, they’re not all that fashionable. :)

  96. Kevin CT March 28th, 2008 at 1:18 pm

Brian? Giambi scoring from first? hmmm…

  97. Doreen March 28th, 2008 at 1:19 pm

You have Giambi scoring from 1st on a double the first game of the season?! You ARE optimistic about this year. :)

  98. Doreen :) March 28th, 2008 at 1:20 pm

I wonder if I can just put a smiley face in my name line, since I seem to use them soooooo much. Let’s see.

  99. Rebecca--Optimist Prime--Mission 2708 March 28th, 2008 at 1:20 pm

Brian: Absolutely nothing wrong with optimism!

  100. Doreen March 28th, 2008 at 1:20 pm

I guess the answer is, sort of. :)

  101. Brian from PA March 28th, 2008 at 1:21 pm

like i said it’s my box score i can do whatever i want. and by god, if i want Giambi to score from first, Giambi is gonna score from first. he’s a cat. no, he’s a puma.

I’ll be at the game tonight and the game tomorrow night. My only chance to see the yankees live this year if i don’t get new york tickets. Hope to see you roaming around the big empty Dolphin Stadium!

    GO YANKEES

Going back to my previous post about the blog posting learning curve, I also ended up using a lot of smiley faces in order to make it clear that I wasn’t being snarky. The written word on a blog, e-mail, IM, etc., is too inexact and can’t convey facial expressions or tone of voice. Smiley faces and the like ain’t perfect, but I believe they’re useful. :) ;:

  106. Brian from PA March 28th, 2008 at 1:25 pm

I often find myself wanting to use a smiley face to show that i’m not being snarky but i’m just too masculine to use a smilie :)

Red Bull and Vodka now there is a good drink

  112. Brian from PA March 28th, 2008 at 1:29 pm

    Doreen

Wang gives up 3 over 6.1 innings, all earned. He’s relieved by Bruney after giving up his 3rd run and going over 100 pitched, and Bruney allows a run to score in the 7th and another in the 8th. Hawkins pitches a scoreless 9th to end the game.

  113. Doreen March 28th, 2008 at 1:33 pm

    Brian PA –

That sounds plausible for Wang. But does the run that Bruney allows get charged to Wang or does Bruney give up an HR or something? Am I being too quizzical for your fantasy? I’m sorry if I am.

  114. jennifer- Hip Hip Jorge March 28th, 2008 at 1:35 pm

Rebecca you posted a bad link. I can’t find it. :(

  115. Brian from PA March 28th, 2008 at 1:39 pm

i’ll explain it like this. Wang comes out for the 7th and allows a double to David Eckstein who proceeds to steal 3rd base. Lyle Overbay hits a sac fly and Eckstein scores. so the bases are empty with 1 out when Wang leaves. Bruney has to face the heart of the order and labors to get the last two outs, he walks vernon wells and frank thomas, and alex rios singles scoring wells, but he gets out of further trouble by getting matt stairs to hit into a double play. in the 8th he allows single to marco scutaro, gets zaun out on a fly to right and scutaro advances to third and scores on a sac fly by aaron hill. he then strikes out david eckstein.

  116. Rebecca--Optimist Prime--Mission 2708 March 28th, 2008 at 1:41 pm

you guys i pulled an all-nighter last night – i survived on a mixture of coffee, diet coke and microwave popcorn that i found in my firm’s kitchen. whomever said that their body was vibrating above – i had that same sensation once it got really late, my left leg was just humming.

back in the day, in college and law school, i’d pull all-nighters all the time with a sturdy 2 liter bottle of diet coke by my side. red bull’s good to keep you awake, but not if you need to concentrate – mixing red bull with vodka is always fun (we’re all 21, right?).

what were we talking about? right, the season opener. trisha, you should go. i am driving down from boston on a friday afternoon to go sit in heaven and see the yankees play at shea this summer. i get so few chances to see them live, that i really treasure every one.

season opener, i say yanks 4-3. bobby abreu breaks a tie in the late innings.

  121. karebear March 28th, 2008 at 1:45 pm

Brian’s game sounds like a long one for a cold and rainy day… My fingers would be frozen by the 5th inning! I’d rather see a little more of a pitcher’s duel – you know, some quick innings. But I do like the outcome, of course.

  122. Brian from PA March 28th, 2008 at 1:45 pm

actually there was a flaw in that i messed up and actually started to read some of my box score from another inning while i was typing that.

in the 8th, scutaro singles and zaun singles and scutaro goes to 3rd. hill drives in scutaro on a sac fly and melky picks off zaun trying to advance. then eckstein strikes out. the part about zaun flying out and scutaro advancing to 3rd was part of the 4th inning.

  123. Brian from PA March 28th, 2008 at 1:47 pm

alright i gotta go meet my GF and head home i’ll be back on later. go yankees!

  124. rb15 March 28th, 2008 at 1:48 pm

does anyone have any weird superstitions when watching the yankees? like me, i have to sit in a very particular spot on my couch, and if they’re not playing well, i keep moving around until i find THE SPOT. also, if i score a game in pen, they lose (i have a case of pencils at the ready this year, in case anybody’s concerned).

  125. Brandon (supporting the new movement "Alex being Alex") March 28th, 2008 at 1:49 pm

    Balfour out

“It appears the Rays have decided on their final bullpen spot, giving the job to Scott Dohmann. The loser in this deal is Grant Balfour, who is out of options. The Australian reliever has some promise, and I would imagine will be claimed on waivers.”

he never had a chance w/ that name :(

meanwhile is it me ? or have the Mets gotten the weakest competition in ST, I mean how many times did they play the Orioles and whoop them as a precursor to what thier team is :?

  128. Doreen March 28th, 2008 at 2:03 pm

I don’t have any real superstitions, save the fact that if it’s an important game and Mo is in, I leave the room. But honestly, I don’t think it’s for them; I think it’s for me – I can’t take the tension!

This Christmas, my husband got me a “Yankee Blankie” which I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. It’s so warm and cozy. Anyway, I’m hoping the blanket will be welcome during the games, you know???? :D

  129. wood is good March 28th, 2008 at 2:04 pm

Superstitions: When I’m watching at home, if it’s a crucial situation, I have to get up out of my chair, take off my cap and put it back on, and pace back and forth in front of the TV until the situation resolves itself.

Because, you see, if I just continue sitting on my ass, my lack of energy + excitement means I didn’t do my part in helping out!

Lame-o, but that’s my thing. Gotta get up when the game’s on the line and readjust my cap.

At the stadium, I just keep repeating to myself, “Get a hit!” or “Get a strikeout” as the situation warrents.

  130. Brandon (supporting the new movement "Alex being Alex") March 28th, 2008 at 2:05 pm

I wonder if Balfour gets a ring

    CANO
Considering his woeful start last year I do not think that these projected (by me) numbers for Cano are out of line.
    Oh and he bats 8th.
    Avg 340
    HR 25+
    RBI 110
    Hits 200
    runs 100
    2B 50
    Slg 500
    ob 370
Its only a matter of time before he start putting up Mattingly type numbers – from second base
    the kids a stud.

  135. trisha March 28th, 2008 at 2:50 pm

Yeah, my Yankee hat always had to be on top of the television.

How about this one? Have you ever done something (or not done something) and felt that you were the reason the Yankees lost? It could be anything, like switching the station when (X) was pitching and the bases were loaded and it’s the bottom of the 9th, and you’re the away team – “X” would never be Mariano by the way – and there are two outs. So you feel your palms getting sweaty and you realize you haven’t breathed for about 10 minutes – AND YOU JUST CAN’T WATCH!

So you turn it back and the Yankees have lost, and you then figure out that if you had watched the rest of the game, maybe, just maybe, they would have pulled it out.

If I have had to go out and have forgotten to put my hat on the television, I know that it will be my fault if the Yankees lose.

    :)

  136. trisha March 28th, 2008 at 2:51 pm

And I somehow believe it, by the way.

  137. pat March 28th, 2008 at 3:01 pm

I think I may be married to J-Train.

My husband believes that when the Yankees are losing on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, if I take the kids in the backyard or in the pool, the Yanks come back. Personally I think it’s his swearing at the TV that brings on the comeback. Getting the kids in the pool just allows him to do that.

I’m with Doreen. I can’t watch Mo if the winning run is at the plate. I leave the room and have the family give me updates or listen for the crowd noise or a commercial break if I’m by myself. I know it’s more about my nervousness than superstition but the kids have started telling me to leave so the Yanks will win.

  138. Kevin CT March 28th, 2008 at 3:14 pm

Trisha you never mentioned if your ticket for Opening Day was given away or not?!

  139. trisha March 28th, 2008 at 3:17 pm

Kevin – I’m still waiting for a call!

  140. trisha March 28th, 2008 at 3:54 pm

I swear to God I am not making this stuff up! I just spoke to my friend and he found out that someone in his family may have to have emergency surgery on Monday in Boston and he may have to drive up there. He’s the one I was going to drive in with. He’s calling me back when he finds out for sure.

Did you ever get the feeling that the forces are conspiring against you?

  141. Kevin CT March 28th, 2008 at 4:06 pm

Take his tickets take his tickets!!! I’m going, I’ll take them if he doesn’t want them and take 2 more of my buddies!

  142. trisha March 28th, 2008 at 4:09 pm

Kevin – where are you in Connecticut? I don’t think he’s going to give the tickets away. We paid $100 each.

    Still interested?

  143. Kevin CT March 28th, 2008 at 4:44 pm

Gross!!! I’m in Norwalk so I’m relatively close. $100 is big time! I’m a couple sections over from you, but got mine for face value ;-)

  144. trisha March 28th, 2008 at 6:04 pm

Kevin, my friend will let them go for $50 each but no less. If you’re interested please tell me as fast as you can. Otherwise he’s going to see if anyone around here wants to buy them. He said he’d wait til I hear from you.

    Trisha

Also, I have a lot of tickets available for many of the games. All of the Boston games are there but the person selling them definitely wants to make money because some of the games cost more than the others. I’m thinking that these are season tickets. My best friend works with someone whose son in Philly owns these tickets. I am going to find out where the seats are. It looks like they are all weekday games. I will probably do at least one of the Boston series. It looks like there are two tickets for each game.

The game I want the most, the final game of the season, isn’t there.

    :(
