I don’t like the way they did the stats. Since the majority of players are making very little but it rises exponentially when they hit arbitration I don’t think the median salary is particularly useful espcially when the data is so skewed to the other side.

I, for one, can’t wait for all of the dead weight to come off of the books after this year. Payroll flexibility will be a welcome change (and yes I know that they can spend whatever they want).
