I still want to hope that someone can fix Igawa because the stuff is there. Also, Girardi took Bruney even though it is obvious that Torre lost faith in Bruney after he burned him out last year.

Well I’m taking a guess that there’s more of a chance that Pat is right than wrong. I saw him pull Andy Pettitte during a ST game, well before Pettitte reached his allotted pitch count, because Pettitte was getting hit pretty hard. Girardi pulled him and you could see that Andy was almost in disbelief when Girardi walked out to the mound.

I think Girardi is a quick(er) thinker, I think he has a quick(er) hook, and I think he will use that great engineering mind to figure out whatever configurations are necessary to win games – and he won’t worry about hurt feelings in the process.

What’s the point Pete? Is it simply that the new and old regimes seem to value the same qualities? Not surprising since they seem to be populated by people who know what they’re doing. Do you have have some other or deeper implication in mind?

This is nonsense … Torre would have traded all the organization for Santana! They would have a long man just because … and there would’ve been thirteen pitchers, not twelve … Patterson is a huge gamble! The sample is too small to judge him … stick to reporting, your analysis sucks as always!
