yankees will finish in 3rd place, phightin phils win the ws, yes evan longoria wins the ROY, Pedroia wins MVP, the yanks pull in burnett and CC at the end of winter meetings. Abreu is not resigned. And by the way, is no one other than me thinking that the Giambi contract is the worst? forger pavano, Giambi makes double and i wish he was on the DL, his .220 batting average makes me sick and he is good for 20 HRs. not good enough my friends. And Obama wins the presidency.

The ideal first base solution for me would be to have Jeter move there and have Alberto Gonzalez come up to play short. The defensive upgrade at both positions would come close to outweighing the offensive downgrade.

If they do that, they could always change their mind and get an expensive statue to play first and mash the ball later if it doesn't work out.

To think that Arot makes 28 million is truly enough to make one wretch their partial digested $10 beer, $6 hotdog and $5 soda. Thanks Alex for your contributions to humanity.

Free preview on inDemand this week, but this game is a make-up, and was not on their schedule. It is still not showing on their game marquee...

Bummer.

There's a 70% chance of rain on Friday.

Here's a "what if"... what if Friday's game gets rained out. Would you skip IPK in the rotation and still have Pettitte start on Saturday?

With the innings limitation on IPK,Hughes & Joba, at some point the Yanks are going to have to find ways implement that. They could save some precious innings for IPK for later in the year by skipping him now.

What do ya think?

Pujols will have to stay healthy for the entire year to contend for the MVP, but from reports, it doesn't look good for him. Wright, Utley, and Rollins all have a good shot at making the MVP, though.

The Cashman-Oppenheimer Plan should reach fruition by 2010 with Jeter, Posada, Mariano, and A-Rod becoming the guiding factors for the next generation of Yankees.
Also by that time, the lower level prospects of today will be ready to assume their roles.
Damon Oppenheimer will continue signing good talent to keep the system stocked with a continuous flow.

They also picked David Wright as the MVP. I dont agree. Pujols and all those stars in Philli have a better chance. I think Chase Utley has a better chance.
