Isn't Brian McNamee also selling things to pay his bills?
Buying dirt from Yankee stadium is stupid but not as stupid as buying a Bruce Springsteen CD.

All the people who will buy pieces of concrete, toilet seats, dirt or other nonsense are suckers in my opinion. You pay $100 for tickets and $8 for a hot dog... Isn't that enough?

Memories live on in your mind not in a piece of a chair.

I have dirt from Yankee stadium! I got it from the third base line after game 6 of the 1996 World Series! I have it in nice glass jars with the cap waxed on. I display it in my Yankee room. Yes, I am a homer, but i thought it was cool!

Yeah, I'm secretly saving up for a seat also. Don't tell my wife either. I've seen a lot of the original seats go up for auction, but never for under $1,500. I really cant justify spending more than $750-1,000 on a seat though. We'll see what the price is when they go on the block, and we'll see how quick my logic changes.

All - regarding stadium seats - dont trip over yourselves just yet lining up for these. Yankee stadium seats come up for auction all the time. There are maybe half a dozen major auction houses which list a Yankee stadium seat each year - most of these are original seats - either field level or curved back seats - single or double, original paint or refurbished, selling for between $500 and $2,000, depending on the condition.

The seats from this stadium will be plastic. Maybe that's what you want. But be sure to check out the originals, too - you may find a better bargain, and from the original 1923 build to boot.

I got a friend of mine to grab me some grass from the outfield when he went on a stadium tour a few years ago. it's in a ziploc baggie in my "memory box" (i'm a girl, we have those).
