I just read through about half of the comments but then got sick of all the sky-is-falling talk. Thank goodness for voices of reason like whozat and Rebecca.

What happened to the rain? I'm never listening to a weather report again.

I was at the game last night. It was a disappointing loss, but there were encouraging points. Ian had nothing last night, but the umpires were atrocious. They called a lot of pitches balls for Ian that they called strikes for the Rays.

Hawkins was disappointing also. However, I wouldn't judge him on this one outing.

On the flip side, Albaladejo, Ohlendorf, and Traber were all very encouraging. Alba did give up that base hit that let the runners in, but overall he was excellent. 2.1 innings w/ just 1 hit is about all you can ask for. Remember, this guy will probably go to Scranton today when Pettitte is activated. I'm really excited that the yankees are going to have guys in AAA who can get outs. Oheldorf and Traber were excellent as well.

While it was a disappointing game, I say that Ian should just chalk it up as a bad game and put it behind him.

Anyways, some of you should listen to yourselves. Cripes.

SJ, don't let them bug ya. The true idots will always be incorrigible regardless of what wiser people tell them.

It's 1 out of 162. Move on, play tomorrow.

The ump was just awful tonight. Unbelievably inconsistent. At least if you're not going to call a pitch a strike, be consistent with it and call it for both teams. Like was mentioned before by someone, this was a moving zone all night. Nobody knew what he would and wouldn't call.

Am I the only one absolutely amazed by the strike zones so far this season? And I don't just mean against the Yankees - one pitch is a strike, the next pitch is a ball, the next pitch in the same spot is a strike, etc.
