The pitching spot hardly matters anderson. The pitching matchups are already shifting due to teams starting the year off differently. The only thing that really matters is which Yankee pitcher goes after another in terms of who will eat up innings and who will use up the bullpen, so I think it's good to see Wang before Mussina, since he eats innings while Mussina doesn't.

umm when is andy pettite getting his number 2 spot back? i don't wanna see mussina on that spot ever again, he should be the 4th or fifth pitcher on the rotation.

And hey did you see Kei Igawa's stats from last night's start in Scranton? I don't care if I'm the last Yankee fan standing who still believes in this guy and wants him to get his psyche straightened out (since I believe it is more that than anything that gets him into pitching trouble). He could be phenomenal in long relief or spot starts for the Yanks if someone could help get him straightened out.

I am hardly hoping for a rainout when Moose pitches. I think Moose did a pretty good job and look forward to seeing him next time out.

Anyone who is making light of the Rays hasn't bothered watching their starting pitching from last year or this spring training. Plus they run like the wind, and they also have offense kids.

About tonight's game though? If it is rained out there is one benefit that accrues to me. I hate flipping back and forth between Yankee and Sux games. I think to do any justice to trying to bring bad energy to the Sux I need to be able to concentrate on their game!

GO JAYS!

I hope I am not alone here, but is anyone else hoping for rainout so we don't have to watch Moose on national TV again? I am most unfortunately living in Killadelphia right now and miss the Bombers dearly, so I'd prefer if Mussina weren't the only pitcher I get to see on tv.

Great job on the blog Pete! We do not say this enough, and we say it a whole lot.
