The Yankees lost to the Royals and may have lost Jorge Posada at the same time.
Derek Jeter missed the game with an injury and will miss at least two more. This notebook also has an update on Jason Giambi and stats on two hot hitters.

A strong outing from Kennedy tonight should brighten up all the doom and gloom that’s been around the Yankees for the last two days, with Jeter and Posada out.
In a perfect world, Giambi would have a season ending injury and the Yankees sign Bonds to replace his spot.
Hugh i just want you to know you are out of your freaking mind.
and why is that, Jay?
lol
Wishing injury on a player is an interesting way to be a “fan.” Especially when that player plays for the team you claim to root for.
I’m a proponent of defense. Let Gonzalez play short while Jeter is out. If we get good pitching, we’ll have enough offense to win.
if I’m anti-Bonds, does this mean I’m kicked out of the anti-anti coalition?
Bonds is a bad idea, never happen move on
Despite that one loss to Tampa Bay they Yanks have been getting good enough pitching. This team is built to score runs and they are not doing that right now. It has nothing to do with Jeter or Po being out. Guys are slumping big time, it looks like it did last year except for one Bobby Abreu. They need to start clicking on offense, especially Damon and Cano
not when said player is atrocious and not helping the team in any way, CB.
Ok, Hugh. Let’s send Cano to Minnesota for Nick Punto.
