I don't think he meant it as negatively as some posters are taking it...atleast I'm hoping not. Since Chamberlain didn't leave the team until after the game what difference did it make during the game. Had Joba not pitched because of this it probably would have been Girardi's choice. And even if Joba said he couldn't and needed to leave before the game was over, who can blame him...family first no matter what. Regardless, here's wishing Harlan best of luck and a speedy recovery.
