As for his son, if the Yankees did have thoughts of moving him to the starting rotation, the correct approach is to give him 2-3 starts between AA &amp; AAA so he can get back to pacing himself as a starter needs to do.
A reliever&#039;s mound presence is a different animal.   Coming out of the bullpen for even 2 innings allows him to go full bore even if his pitch count were to reach 30 pitches.
As a starter, he has to give hitters different looks after the first at bat and hitters also make their own adjustments.
He understands this but he will still need to get his starter&#039;s rhythm back in form.</description>
