great points Guiseppe

also, people look at ERA way too much. manny inflated mooses. moose has a much better WHIP than moyer so far this year. who is comparable to manny or the red-sox as a team that moyer has faced so far? twice?

I said the exact same thing when I heard Hanks comments.
(2008)
Mussina - K/9 - 3.10 (20.1 IP)
Moyer - K/9 - 3.05 (20.2 IP)

Eeck what a decline by Mussina

I like C.M. Wang, but I'd trade him for Beckett in a New York Minute. He has carried two different teams to World Series victories.

Brian, Sturtze was a starter for the Rays for two seasons. He's pitched about 800 innings in his career, and he was not on an AL East team for about 100 of those innings.

Mussina has pitched about 3400 innings so far, all for AL East teams.

The moral is that Sturtze is a really terrible pitcher.

Jeremy,

I believe Sturtz was a stater for a few years with the Rays before coming to the Yankees, so I'm sure that accounts for some of the homers.

It's remarkable that Tanyon Sturtze is up there considering his much more limited career. Remember when he was one of Torre's go-to guys?

Someone needs to also tell Hank that Boston needs a Wang, they don't have one.

CMW, faster to 50 wins than Beckett.
