oh dear god, "booing uncalled for"??? at a BASEBALL GAME?! are you people delusional or what? this is sports, these guys get paid a minimum of 400 grand a year, and if i wanna boo them i will. jeez, what are they? a bunch of 8 year olds playing little league? these are professionals, this is the position they chose to be in. i'm not saying 'joba sucks now, take him outta the rotation send him to single A!' we're not in philly, i'm not saying we should all boo santa clause, all i'm saying is that if you people really think you have the right to tell fans who they can or cant cheer for your crazy. we make this team what it is and if i see something i dont like i have every right to show how i feel. that said, the kid is gonna be fine, but it probably does him well to get a taste of humility.

I would only boo my guy if he's been terrible for a sustained length of time AND he's a total jerk such as Modesi.

I know they booed Joba, but it sounds more like a bunch of fairweather fans booing the results of the game more than anything else in this case. Delucci took a great cut to hit 96 up and in over the wall, short porch or not that's a great job. What irked me last night was the pitch selection. I'm not sure what was up with all the curveballs, but you don't need that in the 8th inning with a lead coming out of the pen. Very uncharacteristic for Joba, but I'm confident he'll bounce right back and dominate next time out.

The Bronx Bombers forgot the Bomber part of their nickname, It`s been a power outage so far.The roster is lop sided, too many relief pitchers not enough bats.

"One good performance and you’re back on the fans good side, thats the way the game is played."

Yeah, that's only as good as your next performance. With the booers, it's all about "What have you done for me lately?"

Stop trying to make sense of your booing. It's just uncalled for.

I'm sick of people saying they "pay good money." Give me a break. I pay good money to watch them on television and to go to their games and I buy their merchandise. What makes you any bigger a fan than me or anyone else? What makes you think you have the RIGHT to boo a player on YOUR team?

How would you like it if people starting booing you in everything you failed or everytime you disappointed someone?

I would love to see you getting booed by your significant other when you were trying to please them. I bet after a while of the booing, your performance wouldn't be any better. Think about it. Don't be jerks.

I WOULD like to see them win, but it doesn't always happen.

I think those of you that boo are spoiled and you make the rest of us look bad.

Just support your team and quit acting like spoiled children.

"Um, is it possible that they were booing the home run, the Indians, Dellucci… why are we all so quick to assume it was Joba they were booing?"

Pete's not an idiot. If he had thought that was the reason, he probably wouldn't have mentioned it.

For Joba's sake, I hope tonight's game calls for him to pitch the 8th inning so he can make up for last night and put that behind him so that it doesn't linger on for too long.
