I'm soon moving out of Detroit, but I live there now...there are 3 casinos and many, many strip clubs in Detroit. I think where they stay, there's a movie theater and a mall. I usually hear stories about how the players hang out at a bar in Dearborn and play pool (and hit on women), but I've never been able to catch them myself. So I guess it depends on what you want to do.

point taken on Seattle (and San Fran) for that matter over Boston.

I cant stand how everything in Boston shuts down early. Its just not a "city" to me and lacks diversity that many other cities can provide.

Fatso & Fruitloops as expected just absolutely have to trash Joba's fist pump.
Maybe they'd rather see Joba do in a couple of Gatorade jugs. to emulate Papsmear.

I haven't read the game posts. I half-watched and half-listened to the game today since I had lots of "stuff" to get done today. But what a nice win for the team. Very happy about Robbie Cano's day. I think it was a nice break for Damon's and Giambi's HRs to find their ways out of the park - simply because it's nice to get a break now and again. Moose did a great job through 4, and I thought he was going to escape the 5th giving up only 1, but at least he maintained the tie and a GREAT pick-up in the very next inning.

I had a feeling Betemit would do something today. Insurance runs are always good. And what can you say about Joba?? And Ollie??? And Mo???? The pen's been really, really good this season.

On to Detroit. Pete said it above, and the guys said it on the broadcast, that Detroit is a great town to be in. What, besides baseball, is there to do in Detroit???? (I passed up including Detroit on a long road trip this summer, because aside from a game I couldn't find anything family-oriented to do.

Michael Kay has the audacity to imply Joe Torre is guility of the “appearance of impropriety” and a “conflict of interest” because as the Dodgers manager, he called Posada and Pettitte to inquire about their health.
----------------
Well I wonder what Kay would say at the fact that Girardi admitted that him and Torre have been chatting frequently. And its interesting that Girardi's performance during the post-game press conferences (particularly after losses) has improved drastically since the 2 managers have been communicating.

As usual, another blowhard reporter distorts the facts.
