Optimist prime...
Where are you, we need your optimism?
I have watched this team for 5+ decades, so those of you that think it can't get any worse, keep thinking that way. It very much can, I've seen it. Try looking at the bright side, we have people coming back from injury, we have pitchers coming up from AAA/AA. Also...and more important...the R-Sox lost, which is always a nice day. 27/08.

Girardi is completely not qualified. Doing nothing when it matters, and no strategies at all. Girardi

We might not always like them, but we always love them. If you didn't, you wouldn't be checking out Pete's Blog after watching a night like this.

Every day that the red sox lose is another day saved for the yankees until a-rod comes back. We're treading water here, three losses behind the only team that matters over the long haul.

The pitching has been better than expected this season. The offense is pressing and lacks balance without the righty bats of a-rod and posada (against lefty pitchers). And the manager is sitting around like Earl Weaver, waiting for home runs and base hits when he should be thinking about squeezing in a run. Maybe he's just being patient, a quality most fans cannot understand.

Molina has been a backup catcher for his entire MLB career and we're finding out why now that he has to play five days a week. He was very good as a backup. And in another month, he'll be back where he belongs.

My Yankee calendar doesn't include April and May. Season starts on June 1. Just close your eyes and try to get through the next 18 days.

Holy moly, 40 games into the season and Tampa is in first place. That's unnatural. Dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria.
