With all the injuries and horrible young pitching performances? Certainly. 4.5 games out is definitely manageable.

So, Albany Joe, you're happy with how they are playing?

That's what really matters, not a comparison with a season where we didn't win the division & got knocked out in the first round of the playoffs!! You are looking at this from an odd perspective. But, I am a U of Albany grad, so I can't be too hard on you......

By force? Yes, at least Giambi will not be signed again, I'm pretty sure.

And when hitters have problem hitting, manager has to use some strategies. And , I see none this year from Girardi yet.

I'm not sure if this has already been said, but not only is Girardi not being aggressive (where is that NL style managing we heard about?), but he actually seems to be really comfortable and relaxed. I'm not sure if he for some reason thinks his job is safe, but as far a managerial tenure goes on the Yanks, he's not safe unless the team performs. We did just get rid Torre after making the playoffs for 12 straight seasons, so yes the bar is set a little high.

I just want to see some fight, because honestly the overall mood I'm in is dictated by their play, and lately I've been really frustrated. It's not just about W's & L's, I just want to see some good baseball.

This info was shared w/ me this morning by another Yankee fan:

When trailing after the 1st inning, the Yankees are 2-8.
When trailing after the 2nd inning…2-8
3rd inning….1-12
4th inning….1-16
5th inning….4-17
6th inning….1-18
7th inning….0-17
8th inning….0-18

It's frustrating to watch a game knowing that once they are down a run, they probably won't come back!

Please just show some fight and some urgency.....next thing you know we'll have to make a great comeback like we did last year, then will be burnt out for the playoffs!!

Opposing pitchers are showing no fear. They know that sacrifice bunts, hit & run, double steal or any other form of run production is virtually non-existent so they wait on the double play to get out of an inning. Why get rattled ?

You people a bunch of children. You can pretty much draw close to zero conclusions after 5 weeks of baseball.
