The mental image of any of those guys, particularly Giambi, wearing a thong just boggles the mind. Ugh.

Which reminds me, all you have to do is walk along Waikiki Beach in Hawaii and you see some of the most — shall we say revealing? — swimsuits on the shaved-chest beefcake strutting along there. I didn’t check out the beaches the last time I was through Miami or any of the Florida beaches, but I wouldn’t doubt it’s the same there.

I hate the Red Sox, but Francona is a great guy who is tough to root for. Kinda wish he leaves Boston.

I knew that Girardi would be asked because the manager who’s home ballpark it is, is always there. But it is pretty odd that Leyland was asked since his team stinks even though Francona and he are good friends. Also Randolph was asked because of his Yankee ties but his team stinks also. That will make a good coaching staff Leyland, Girardi and Randolph all 3 teams are awful at the moment. What about the Dbacks and Angels managers who’s teams are actually winning?!!

Torre already said the was not going to come. He has a charity dinner in Westchester the next day and said that even though he will be in the area he is not interested in the traveling to get to the game. Time to move on…

I’d be very interested to hear this confirmed but I’d have to guess that Torre was invited to be a coach and declined. I can’t really see him not being invited.

I would rather trade for a younger cheaper first baseman then trade for another outfielder.
