Tabata .222 avg. 0 homeruns 30k in 39 games. For someone who was being compared to Manny not long ago. Can his wrist still be bothering him?

I'm all for blind optimism...but at least there are actually real reasons to be optimistic this week (like the return of the MVP, for one thing).

If there ever was a time to hop on the bandwaggon now is it. The schedule between now and the next Mets series looks extremely easy. The Yankees look awful at the moment, but if the return of Arod, a return to form from some of the others (Abreu, Cano, Giambi, Pettite) can occur, they will feast on the competition. If there is no restoration of energy, then we will be further out next month and looking at shedding players be the enxt series.

Does anyone think we should give Giese a start or 2 over Ian? He has a .90 e.r.a. and whip of .92.
