I guarantee Chase Wright will do just as good maybe even better than Arroyo. His BABIP .263 and has allowed only 9 XBH in AA..IDK why he is still stuck in AA under Igawa in the depth chart

no chance he falls that much

Brett DeVall (Florida) (if he falls to us start dancing naked in the streets)

Mike Montgomery (California) (he's a 2nd - 3rd rounder)

gayle I totally agree, Heck this morning I resorted to listening to 880 while I got ready for work.

I don't get this fasination with Bronson either. I don't like him, I don't want him here. Plus he stinks. Yeah he is a vet, does that make it okay when he goes 4 innings nd gives up 6 runs? I guess to fatso and fruitlooops it does.

No on David Wells; he would need a month or more in the minors, and he was bad in last year's NL West. So not only would you not get production immediately (which is kind of the point of these chasing veterans deals), it would probably be lousy production anyway.

Arroyo's been having a bad year, although career-wise he isn't bad, actually. The kicker for me is his contract; he gets 9.5 mil next year, 11 mil in 2010, and a team option for 2011 (11 mil, or 2 mil buyout). If I were to trade for him (and if the Reds were willing to trade him to us in the first place), WHY am I trading for him? Am I looking for something for just this year? Do I want him for next year? How about the year after?

I don't know what's his fascination with Bronson Arroyo who has a era over 6 in the NL. This team is not a veteran pitcher away from winning the WS like he's making it sound like.
