Joe Girardi got fired up and a few seconds later the Yankees had themselves a victory. Brian Heyman has the feisty story.

Joba Chamberlain talked over his new role with Girardi. This notebook also has news on the Wanger’s calf, another suspension and Kyle Farnsworth.

Mariners-Yankees tonight at 7:05 p.m.

I fail to see the connection between Girardi getting tossed and Cano finally getting a hit with men on base.

They won, that’s all I care about.

Girardi said if him being ejected gets a win, he’ll get ejected 162 times. That’s from the manager’s mouth not fans.

    Great game last night.
