Today in The Journal News
The plan is in place and Joba Chamberlain will start against the Blue Jays on Tuesday.
Look who shares the lead for the most wins in the AL. Why it’s Mike Mussina. He and the Yankees beat the Twins last night.

woo. they won.
Which one will show up today, Wang or Igawang?
Wang 6-2 with a 3.82 ERA. 9 less hits than innings pitched. 1 ER or less in half his starts. Still people whine about his performance. He has to throw a shutout every game or else people pounce. Igawang? Just lame. BTW, nobody cares what your old user name was.
mike Mussina in the lead for wins….weird
Well, combination of lame and racist
Still can’t believe Mussina has 8 wins. Freaky times y’all.
Tues is gonna be crazy with Joba starting and isn’t Pedro back for the Mets also that day?
Should be interesting.
Mussina Friday, Wang on Saturday, Rassner on Sunday.
Who goes on Monday? (Pettitte?).
Pettitte on Monday
Way to go Moose!
This is a big series with Minnesota. The Yanks have won 7 of 9, if they can get 2 of 3, that’s 9/12, and makes me feel better that they’re finally getting things together, despite the issues with Shelley and Ensberg, no good fielding 1B, and Krazy Kyle/LaTroy.
I can’t believe Cash has stocked SWB with pitching and the likes of Jason Lane and now Ben Broussard, just to win the International League.
anyone know who’s going Tues for Toronto?
by going i mean pitching.
With the day off for the Jays on Monday, Roy Halladay will be starting against Jobamania. That’s going to be a fantastic pitching matchup.
The reason the Yanks have so many retreads at SWB can be traced to the draft. In the first ten rounds the last three years (before 07) I bet they took 25 pitchers… it certainly has given them a ton of arms, but position prospects are sorely lacking. Last year was a step in the right direction and hopefully next week will see more efforts to bring in hitters/fielders.
By far one of my favorite blog posts to read yet… and people wonder why I still consider Mussina to be my favorite pitcher. I would LOVE to see him at the ASG; and I honestly hope he keeps up this strong season he’s got going! If he can keep it together, he can pitch for a few more years, even if it’s NOT in an NY uniform [wow, that's going to kill me.]
