Pepitone,

Totally agree. When the game's on the line, he's almost the last player I want to see at the plate. Kind of sad to say about someone with so much talent.

No doubt the ump totally blew that call on Giambino. But also, RISP LOB led to the Yankees wasting an outstanding job by the Razzle Dazzler. The walk-off win last night was great, but that unable to drive in baserunners in even from third thing will kill ya more times than not. And letting shaky pitchers off the hook when they're on the ropes isn't helping the cause either.

Too bad the Yanks let this one slip away, because they can't count on getting this kind of pitching every game (hello Andy), and Sunday is anybody's guess (Go Joba!!).

The good part: Ras continues to rock the house. Franchise and IPK: Pay attention, lil' homies - this could be you a few months from now. Stay strong!! Seattle Mariners: Thanks, and keep up the good work until we meet again. Lets Go Yankees!!!!!!!!

Probably not; he's not signed by them yet, after all. I think it's more because he hasn't pitched too much this year.

But damn, such great command. Another strikeout, but he walked a batter this inning.

Alex Rodriguez,

First ballot Hall of Famer, will probably break Bond's home run record, is certain to win more MVP's before his career is over. Be that as it may, however, ARod has got to be the worst clutch hitter with that amount of talent in the history of baseball!!!!!

I am on record as having opposed re-signing him. It is possible I will be proven wrong in the coming years, but I doubt it. The guy simply does not appear to have the mental make up to handle the pressure of big situations, especially in th playoffs.

BTW, I went to the Tampa Yankees game tonight to see Zach McAllister's second start. He was great tonight.

Seven shutout innings, 0 BB, 7 hits, 6 k's to get the win.

Very impressive kid. He looks like a young Schilling. He's about 6-5, every bit of 220-230.

Threw consistently 91-92 all night, with a nice slider and change.

Very impressive for a 20 year old. He won't be 21 until December.

His dad was a scout with the Diamondbacks back when Schilling and Johnson were together. You can tell this kid was taught pitching by major league people. He has a real sense of what to do out there.

Out of all the young arms in the organization I've seen so far this year (from the starting side), he's the most impressive. He's got talent and a real feel for pitching.

I'm going to stick around Tampa and look to catch Garcia's start.
