Well, thank god we had Joba transition into the starting rotation :)

I think Wang will be fine. I watched the video of him hobbling home and by the way he was limping it certainly didn't look like the achilles tendon.

Also, he really didn't need as much "help" getting down the steps as people described, everyone was just playing careful. Obviously, Wang won't be out there for the next start but it is good news that he was able to make it home after the sprain.

Wow - I've seen some crazy things posted but people actually think the third base coach is a factor in Wang's injury? That is simply idiotic. Regardless of the extent of the injury, Yankees will be in the playoffs. Four games out now, only a matter if time.

I didn't see the game and have no medical experience whatsoever but I'm sure Wang will be fine. A guy on my softball team twisted his ankle last week and was able to play yesterday, and he's a fat load.

Or else Wang has an AnneFranc injury and will never play again. That's even less common than a LisFranc and the only cure is two years hiding out in an Amsterdam attic.

I dont think a C.C. trade is a must but this is where Hughes being out is felt. Maybe if he wasnt injured he would be getting into form as a front end guy and the Wang loss wouldnt be such a killer.

I dunno about that Markakis AL is wide open I just hope its not a Bruney type injury. Speaking from personal experience I injured my foot playing baseball in high school in the same fashion as Wanger I was trying to score from second and I wasnt that fast so I tried to kick it into another gear when I felt a pop. Needless to say I was in pain and I got gunned out at the plate it hurt more along the top ridge of my foot by the toes and my doc told me it was a sprain. Never really found out what it was but I had a soft cast on it for 2 weeks and by the third week I was practicing again doing sprints and drills. Once again I am not a doctor but I was playing again after about a month. This is obviously me just giving a personal story but if Wang has a similar injury to mine (which felt way worse at the time) then its not likely season ending. Thank God it wasnt a knee or ankle injury those are ugly I been there too.

Nick we are not making drastic moves if 1 SP goes down. BTW if Horne pans out he can be better than you think. Giese is a long man journey man, the Yankees are not going to expand the price on acquiring a SP even if his name is CC Sabathia. Is Sabathia obtainable sure will we acquire I highly doubt it. I think you will see Horne, McCutchen and Marquez get thier shots before a CC trade is even a thought, especially at the current price.

Brandon- Do you thinbk this looks like a playoff rotation
Moose, Pettitte, Joba, Rasner, Giese/Igawa/Horne. I dont think so I believe if Wanger is out for the year then C.C. is necessary or you are essentially conceding the season.

I say a centerpiece IPK or Marquez/Horne and then a second tier guy what say you.

Think more Tabata/Curtis and Jesus Montero or Jackson/Pena and Melancon. I don't see this happening at all either way you slice it.

V even though I don't see Cashman doing what you don't think he will do. Cleveland is not going to ask for pitching, they are in need of position players, which still the Yankees will not do. I'm hoping people (Yankees fans) will be smart enough to know Wang getting hurt doesn't mean oh lets go get Harden, oh lets get Penny oh lets get CC...that's not going to be happening at all.
