With Tabby's mental state right now, sending him down to A ball could finish his career. I say let him stick in AA until he either figures it out, quits, or is traded. And tell him he's sticking around there until he figures it out.

By the way, I was at Trenton's game in Harrisburg tonight, and Tabata had a couple of hits including a bomb to right center. It's not 4 HRs, but it's a start. I will admit he looked pretty bad last night, but I don't think the wrist is bothering him anymore.

Pete, add Tabata to your list of guys who play great right after you bash them. Can you try it with Cano next? The minute you write him off is the minute he'll get red hot.

The Yankees should hire Pete to call out underperforming players on his blog. Tabata's line for tonight:

2-4 HR, BB, 2 RBI, 3 R

Keep up the good work Pete.

Frank.. your completely wrong. Tabata hit .300 at Tampa with a broken wrist. How can you justify keeping him at Tampa again for this year. You need to challenge these players to see what you have in them. There is no point to keep him at single A if it's not challenging him.

First, this is the worst time to trade either tabata or kennedy as their stock is at an all time low. Why sell low? Second, I don't care if he hit 4 home runs today, he is a 19 year old who was coming off an injury to his wrist who had previously shown very little power...yet he got prommoted??? He should have started the season in Tampa and moved up accordingly based on progression. Starting him in Trenton was a mistake by the organization b/c if he struggled b/c of the wrist then he would lose value and need to be sent down. If he started in Tampa, a level he had conquered from all points other than power, people would have attributed his lack of success to the wrist rather than not being able to make adjustments to that level. And, he would never be sent down and demoralized in Tampa. Big mistake by BC on this one. What is a 19 year old with a wrist injury doing in AA??? I think someone thought they had Abreu's replacement and wanted to prove it. Goes back to BC being too in love with his prospects and afraid to make trades...not good.

Hey Bob, ease up. Tabata is hitting .216 with 1 extra base hit in his last 10 games. He's obviously not even treading water at AA. Pete was just raising a point for conversation.
