Agreed about that Fox Business Happy Hour thing being annoying. Those people who do that segment seem to be enjoying the "Happy Hour" portion a bit too much. I'm pretty sure they're drunk.

I took a Yankee Stadium tour last week. The tour guide said that the current Cotton Eyed Joe is a different guy than when they started. And that he's going by Cotton Eyed Joey to avoid copyright. Not sure if he was joking.....

Please push for removal of all music. The organ works just fine. (and no, I was not born before 1940)

If you really believe that our servicemen and women are fighting in wars to "protect our way of life," and if you can't understand why God Bless America might be offensive to any American, whether religious or not, you really need to get a grip. What if they played "Allah Bless America" over and over, would you wonder why one particular way of thinking was being shoved down your throat?

I grew up in the greater NYC area. It's sad for me to come to this board and find that now many of its inhabitants are no longer worldly and sophisticated but instead hold attitudes that you'd find in the back country of Appalachia.

I'm all for "never forgetting" 9-11. The worst part of 9-11 is that America had a chance to wake up and look at its foreign policy and the roots of its conflicts, and instead was hoodwinked again by its leaders and chose to go back to sleep. And our servicemen and women are dying for this.

Do they still play "Rock and roll part 2" at stadiums over there? Was always surprised to hear it after Gary Glitter was sent down for kiddie porn charges.

You can thank the Texas Rangers for the Cotton Eyed Joe phenomena--they did it there for years. I can't remember how surprised and aghast I was when I realized they started doing it at Yankee Stadium.

As far as YMCA, it has nothing to do with it being a gay song--but who needs it? Sure at the moment at that snow game it was a funny moment, but in general who needs to see the groundskeepers do anything aside from maintaining the grounds?

Are we eventually going to have umpires dancing to Disco Inferno between the third and fourth?

For those of you in denial--YMCA and Cotton Eyed Joe are just as much of an abomination (in a baseball context) as Sweet Caroline or any other garbage exclusive to other ballparks.

I mean I guess times change, and if thats what people want--well, that's fine--but don't talk about tradition unless you're talking about the organ playing.

And for the people who claim that they should play Take Me Out the Ballgame again--I mean, c'mon, you haven't been to ONE game in the last 8 seasons? They have never stopped playing Take Me out...even following the extra long versions of God Bless America.

V, can you clarify the rule about the pitcher or the batter having to declare first? There's been some dissention since you made your ruling.

"Don’t they play both God Bless America and Take Me out to the Ballgame?"

Yes. Anyone that says 'Bring back Take Me Out to the Ballgame' probably doesn't go to many games.

It's been played every time I've been to the stadium (I go to ~5-10 games a year).

I agree. Kate Smith's version of GBA is dull.

Maybe they can jazz it up have Lindsey Lohan or Brittney do a burlesque version.
