Agreed with yankeenakte.

Girardi stunk too.Is he a college baseball manager? When Cano hit the leadoff double,Girardi let Molina as a PH.I think Girardi need to learn how to manage this team.

Is it possible the '09 Yanks will have Gardner in CF and Melky in RF? It certainly would weaken the lineup in terms of hitting and power... but defense would be dramatically improved and speed would be excellent.

Sign Teixiera for 1B, Matsui/Damon/Giambi? share LF/DH. Best defensive Yankees team in years and if Cano returns to form a very good, though not overwhelming lineup.

I just want to see a damn good defensive team out there.

For this year if Guise and Ponson are ineffective the Yanks may be forced to acquire someone... as long as his name is not Arroyo!

Terrible game, but one that should make it crystal clear to everyone, even "Bring Gardner Up," that there is no quick solution for this team. That doesn't mean we're a bad team, but we are not a Brett Gardner, C.C. Sabathia, or whoever, from winning the world series. Today, 2/3 of our outfield went down. You can repair that, and something else will go bad.

Rasner still has plenty of rope with me, and should with this team. My feeling's that he's not losing that spot at this moment.

Joba tonight. I'm smelling two out of three but, like Stuart said, the vets have to carry this team. 11-3? We should have won 15-11 against a team like the Pittsburgh Pirates.

-Funny how you can manipulate numbers, huh?-

You're not manipulating numbers. The results are the same. How they got to be what they are is meaningless.

Honestly, I don't think you can count beyond 10, so this whole argument is probably for not.

Yeah, Mel, after his shakey beginning, Christian came through in style. Cano also had three hard shots for hits and a fourth hard hit ball. Hopefully, this is the start for him. Need to get Jeter rolling, too. Cabrera will put on his usual rush. Would be great to see the pitching, defense and all 9 hitting spots will all mesh at once for about 4 months, huh?

I'm watching "I survived a Japanese Gameshow". Not as funny as the originals, but it's pretty funny watching the gaijin humiliate themselves.

Am I the last one here? If so, Congrats to Christian for being the lone bright spot today. Bittersweet I'm sure. Good luck to Joba today. Hope you get your first win.
