didnt see this before, but in addition to what CJ said on the SWB blog was this:

I agree that the medical staff is keeping a close eye on Melancon but 54 innings on June 25 is pretty high.

the organization has a lot better handle on rehabbing pitchers coming back from TJ surgery than i do, so i’ll properly defer to the medical staff on that one.

Actually I pretty much read Chad’s blog every day but thank you.

We were discussing Melky’s defense and his overall value to the team. Replacement Level’s blog did a nice writeup 2 days ago.

The writeup disputes the claims that Melky provides no value to the team.
