I got to watch the hit where the Stros took the lead for good. Then I stayed up and watched Jason Bay get his walkoff. About Johann Santana. I'd be a total jerk if I tried to say that yesterday showed me that Santana would have been a mistake for the Yankees. Even his record in his last 7 games doesn't do it. I can never say Santana isn't a very good pitcher. He is. I was glad we didn't get him. I still am. I can say though that his attitude is lousy! We had quite a few games where our offense wasn't doing anything and our pitchers lost without giving up hardly any runs. Even if it bothered our pitchers they didn't whine to the press about it. Oh yeah. I thought we needed Joba to stay in the pen. I can see now how important he is to the rotation. You have to be able to say when you got it wrong. Farnsworth should go to church this morning, he gave up two extremely loud outs and balls that would have been xtra base hits. Santana pitched well, 1 bad inning. Petitte battles like always.
