Younger.Have you looked at this farm system. There all 20 year olds who have the bodies of CArl Pavano.Seriously how many are coming off Tommy John.

It's good to have young players. But we are not the RAys we don't have 5 years to wait.Cash needs to be better at free agent pitchers so we can win and get younger.

Trade time.

Matt-statistically Texas has the worst ERA in AL, but leads the AL in BA and runs. They are a .500 team because of their pitching, and with our all star lineup, we can't hit.

Trade for Ray Durham an old 2nd baseman who will be FA, who can be had for a song, and send Cano down to the minors.

Trade Melky to the Marlins, who are looking for a cf'er for lefty Scott Olsen. Might take a Yankee minor leaguer to sweeten the pot.Put Butler in center, or pick up a Jim Edmonds or Mike Cameron type for the rest of the year when they are DFA'd

Trade Mussina back to the Orioles with another minor league prospect for George Sherrill, a lefty.

Shop Abreu for position prospects.

Shop Farnsworth to a team needing a closer, maybe back to Detroit.

Wait till next year, when we can get younger.

The Tigers weren't afraid to demote Dontrelle Willis, who actually had success in the game. Melky needs to go to A ball. The planets aligned correctly and he got his shot in '06 but he has not improved a wink in four years. Let's trade him for a lot of non-Maple bats. It would show the fan base they will get rid of non-performers and still care about their safety.

I sense a big game by Gardner tomorrow. Hopefully Ponson doesn't suck too bad and Melky sits.

As of last week when we were 41-35 we were averaging 9.3 hits and 4.62 runs per game. [709 hits and 351 runs]
Our pithcing ERA was 4.10. To me that doesn't leave much room for error, especially if you add this weeks stats.

Let's face it, we're a .500 at best, maybe worse since we're playing in the Eastern division.

Joe Torre was a clueless stupid manager. It makes no difference if he was here.

Post season every year he's been here and half that being trips to the WS. I wish Girardi was as "clueless" and "stupid" as him.

in the post game girardi said, he didn't have melky bunt because of the lefty's that were coming up.

i mean damon and abreu are major league hitters, they should be able to make contact and hit a lefty??

girardi is overmanaging with all the stats, etc..
