The Yankees had another quiet night offensively as they lost to the Rangers. Mike Dougherty has the story.

Brett Gardner’s debut included a stolen base. This notebook also has news on Hideki Matsui feeling better and the Moose having a personal catcher in Jose Molina.

Updated career home run list
11. Reggie Jackson 563
12. Mike Schmidt 548
13. Mickey Mantle 536

I will miss speedy molina and the very fast betimet pinch running. Brett Gardner as a pinch runner if he isnt playing is a big change.

If Christian and Gardner represent the best of the Yankee farm system, then the team has NO FARM SYSTEM!

I’d like to see Gardner play a few games in a row. No reason they can put him in LEF and DH Damon. Jorge will catch so that opens up a spot.

    Over/Under five runs tonight?
