"Who knows about Bowden?"

I do. I've seen him pitch. He's a stud.

Also, tonight Charlie Zink threw a complete-game shutout for Pawtucket to improve his record to 9-2 with a 2.42 ERA.

The Sox are loaded with pitching in the minors.

I will say this about Arod, he is a future Hall of Famer, he will probably eclipse Barry Bonds HR record, and he will go down as one of the all-time greats who ever played the game. But, if I am in a crucial playoff game, it’s the bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, bases loaded, and we need one run to tie and two runs to win, would I want Arod to be up at the plate? NO!

Even with all that talent, he is probably the worst clutch hitter in baseball. I think the Yankees should have let him walk last year.

Yankees co-chairman Hank Steinbrenner said the reports would not faze the club.

"It's no distraction to the team," Steinbrenner said Thursday at the Yankees' complex in Tampa, Fla. "Whether it is to Alex I don't know. But from what I'm hearing, no, it's not."

BY THE WAY, THE ABOVE WAS A QUOTE FROM STEINBRENNER ... BUT I GUESS YOU SEEM TO KNOW MORE THAN HE DOES ABOUT WHAT IS DISTRACTING THE TEAM!

Lots of Yankee fans are pretty pissed off right now, Wow, and I don't blame them. This franchise is the most successful in professional sports. We expect more from the Yankees. However, Cashman and his baseball people - stay out of it Hank and Hal - need to get together and start to make some decisions regarding the future of some of the players on this roster. I don't know - I'm no baseball expert by any stretch - but they have to decide whether or not they can legitimately win this year with what they have, or begin to retool this roster with good young talent and hope for a brighter future. Because right now, neither the future, nor the present, is very bright.

Very funny ... you are trying to blame the Yankees losing and looking terrible this season on A-Rod's family issues? I thought better of you ... after seeing that comment, I will have to re-think that stance ... the clownish antics of A-Rod??? ... you really need to get a grip! The way this team has been playing has nothing to do with A-Rod ... this has been going on all season long ... it's just that now the games are meaning something and they are slipping further back.

who is tradeable?????

Damon probably,Melky or Gardner (they may have value but probably minimal) Abreu, Kyle(don't laugh) and who else that we may want to trade?

Abreu is a FA end of the yr. and same for Krazy Kyle, damon only has 1 yr. left on his deal...

Matsui cannot be moved he has 1 yr left after this yr and his injury situation is a problem. WHo else is tradeable??

Moose could be traded if he would agree to it?/Pettitte the same but we can't trade him else it destroys the whole legacy thing..

Sports fans they have limited options on the trade front...The only real options they have on the trade front are there young pen arms because they have so many of them that is it.. They do have some chips there, veras, cox, melancon, robertson, etc....I doubt they do much in that direction because there pen next yr. is going to be mo and the KIDDIES>>>>>>>

Am I missing something??? The bottom line is thy are not making many trades if any this yr. if they fail they will replace 1b, rf, and maybe 1 other position in the offseason and that is it.....1 starter a 1b, and rf can be aded to the team and everything else will come from within....
