they need to trade for an ace or two, wang will go to number two, joba 3.it is time now, trade kennedy, melky, tabata, horne for sabathia.as long as they keep brackman, montero.they are falling to far behind.they need 2 aces like sabathia, weeks and in 2009 they can have sabathia, wang, weeks, joba, hughes.get rid of all these dead weight prospects, they have no spot.all the money should have been spent on pitching instead of position players.you need 3 great pitchers an excellent 4th and a decent 5th and the yankees aren't even close, very disheartening.i am not saying trade everyone but they have way to many prospects that will lose their value soon.it doesn't matter how you get you're 5 starters as long as they are good.know when to hold and know when to fold.

Only reason I say Bonds is because of the lack of offense. Bonds would be the DH and Giambi the 1B. Even Pete is surprised at Giambi's defense. Our lineup could be: Damon, Abreu, A-Rod, Bonds, Giambi, Posada, Jeter, Cano, Melky/Gardner. Bonds will get us offense, obp, slugging, and protection.

I wouldn't be too keane on it either but if we need power, Bonds might be the temporary solution.

1966 was very sad, the series against the Dodgers and then the Cards was begining of the end, then to CBS ownership where terrible years. Which reminds me.

Happy Birthday Mr. Steinbrenner.

RhapsodyinBlue-

Most of these guys have no idea what real losing is like. Remember 1966? For me, that year was like a death in the family. All the guys were getting old at once, and there was no replacements coming from the farm, unless you consider Horace Clark a "blue-chipper."
