No worries. :)

I really just didnt want to be mistaken for one of *those* kind of knee-jerk reaction, what-have-you-done-for-me-lately fans, because I never have been. Sorry that I overreacted.

Angel,

Wasn't so much calling out a lack of faith on your part, just was pointing up Zach's inspiring solace that everything would be alright. It kind of reminds me of Rivera's utter calm during the storm, and I was moved by it.

Didn't mean to disparage you, sorry about that. I know it was just an exhortation. I'm sure you're an angel too.

‘Not to mention a bad Mussina and how many different guys did we have starting?”
Bad Mussina? Would that be the Mussina with 11 victories or the one with 11 victories?"

If you would have taken the time to read the post, I was talking about the 2007 season.

Excuse me, but I never doubted Mo would get it done - not for a second. I think my asking Mo what he was doing was MILD (and reasonable given the situation) given the amount of people who threw the game in the minute he gave up a run.

Pick on the right person next time you decide to make an example of someone's post.

Cliff Lee deserves the start, but it would be nice if Rivera started the game, as he was a big part of 4 championships at Yankee Stadium

Cliff Lee would probably have 15 wins if Cleveland had any bullpen or offense, he deserves the AS start. Moose definitely made his case in front of Francona today for a roster spot though; it was also his 20th career victory against Boston.

ivera was brilliant, not what yo and the announcers said. He had a 2-0 lead, was facing four strong hitters followed by three stiffs. All he had to do was get through the four, gving up one run and loading the bases but taking no chance of a home run to tie. Also, the Red Sox had hit three Yankee batters to two fo theirs, so it was time to hit more Sox.

Thus after the single by Drew (could have been a home run, didn't matter) he hits Manny, taking no chance of a homer AND hitting him a third time! Brilliant message!

Next he pitches away from Lowell and gives up a single, then hits Youkilis - great again!

Then he mows down the overmatched three - Crisp, Varitek and Lugo! Never in doubt! He did a great job of pretending to be wild on the first four so he didn't get tossed, despite hitting two guys. I can't remember a more perfect performance.

And count me as very happy that Manny got plunked 3 times today....If that could be a team goal every time we face them, ..... and it should be a GOOD thing EVERY time we plunk him !
