Someone must have written this in response to Pete’s comment about Jeter’s range, but here goes:

Jeter does not lack range to his right. He is still capable of making the occasional spectacular play to his right, as we saw last night.

Jeter unquestionably lacks range to his left. He often doesn’t even appear in the shot when opposing players hit balls up the middle. He doesn’t make errors on these plays, he just doesn’t get anywhere near the ball.

I love his leaping throws as much as anyone. I hate how he rarely gets to balls hit up the middle.
