one of the problems with the yankees is that too many players think they are locks for their positions.

you , fredo, are missing the very point i’m making. it doesn’t matter if the regulars are better. they have to earn it every day it. i would have played gonzales at 2nd long ago to push cano. i would have pinch hit for arod with runners on third and less than two outs late in a game. i would have benched giambi when he hit the right fielder when trying to throw to second.

these regulars need to find a way to improve what they suck at. does giambi make 100 throws a day to second. i doubt it. does arod practice shotening up and making contact when he needs to. no way. sits their butts down and put someone else in.

if it embarrasses them so much the better.
