I agree, a long term problem w/ that contract, but he could easily slip into the DH role in the American League.

It would be less than Holliday, but it would still be a lot. Just how many DH’s do you want to see on this team anyway??? Lee couldn’t possibly cover left field in Yankee Stadium.

One other thing worth noting is that he’s owed $18.5 million per season thru 2012. Not a wise investment.

Here’s an idea: Trade for Carlos Lee. The Astros are out of it w/ the Brewers and the Cubs way ahead of them and they should start rebuilding. I’m not sure how much they would want in return, but he could come at lesser cost than Holliday for a right handed bat.
