I’d rather concentrate on getting Fuentes than Sexon.

Looking for hitting (or even power) from .218 makes little sense to me…and I’m not even smart to begin with.

I’m okay with Sexson as a low risk pickup who fills a need, but he is not close to Mientkewicz defensively.

I want Nady or Bay, but not Guillen who is older and has two more years at $ 12 million per on his deal.

Lefty releiver, MArte, Grabow, Mahay of Fuentes… the others on that list are now better than Billy “bye bye” Traber.

Jorge is fine… at least he cares.. what I don’t get is how this team became so poor at pitch selection at the plate. Every at bat (except Cano) it seems like someone takes a 90-ish fastball right down the middle and then swings at slop in the dirt. Maholm had to be giggling inside watching the Yanks get themselves out.

There are posters that think Mientkiewicz should be brought back as a late defensive 1st base replacement but Sexson does the equivalent of Doug and is a RH hitter.

IMHO …..

- David Robertson has shown he should be kept.

- Scott Strickland should be called up from AAA and Dan Giese sent down.

- After another start, Alfredo Aceves or Daniel McCutchen should replace Rasner in the rotation with Rasner going to long relief / spot starter.

- LaTroy Hawkins should be DFA’d.

- Sign Richie Sexson and recall Gonzo.

- Trade or DFA Betemit.

- Make a decision with Chad Moeller.

- Clear 40-man roster space by including Jeff Karstens, Chris Britton, Jeff Marquez and Chase Wright in any deals seeing as they don’t seem as fits in any future plans.

mark, give me a team of Posadas in terms of attitude.

it’s disgusting, and quite predictable, that the media spun Posada’s innocuous comments into ‘Posada has tension with Girardi’ types of stories.

Posada’s contract is a reward for what he’s done, not what he’s going to do. The Arod situation gave him extra leverage for that fourth year, but even he has to realize that he can’t catch for the entire length of the contract.

I really hope the Yanks don’t pick up Sexon. I can’t believe they would waste a roster spot for a possibility of hitting a home run every now and then. He’s a good defensive option at 1B, but really can’t hit or get on base anymore.

Realistically, it’s time to sell. Think of the prospects that could be picked up for Moose, Giambi, Abreu, Damon, Worthless, et al (assuming anyone would have them, of course).
