This blog was born at the Winter Meetings of 2005. After much negotiating, Susie The Sports Editor and I convinced the bosses to let us try it. Eighteen million page views later, here we are.

It’s amazing how many open laptops you see now. Every available outlet has a power cord in it and somebody typing away. Even the crustiest old dudes have to get something on line during the day. Gone are the days of waiting until the next morning to give people the news.

You all are the ones who benefit. If you’re a baseball fan searching for information, this is a great era and it’s only going to get better.

    Pete,

    Thanks for the blog.
You are very committed to this blog and update news regularly. No one else does it better.

Please keep up the good work and thanks for all your efforts.

Pete: In the year I’ve been reading, this blog has only gotten better.

Can’t wait to see what the future brings.

    And yes. Blog or die!

Don’t go getting a big head or anything, but the fact that you alone maintain this blog, for the sheer quality AND quantity of content, is quite amazing. For sure the best Yankee blog out there, and among the better blogs in general that I have come across. The higher-ups at Lohud must be thrilled at the traffic it generates.

  5. S.A.- I believe in this team but can the offense stop being so offensive? July 14th, 2008 at 1:22 pm

You are a blogging machine today Pete!

I just found this blog a few months ago and it has been the highlight of this baseball season (even over my fantasy baseball team that is terrorizing the rest the league!). My old man even reads the blog now.

i doubt there’s a day i’ve been at work without stopping here once since January of ’07.

thanks for making work a whole lot more bearable Pete, even though I disagreed with your opinion of Prince as halftime show entertainment :)

Pete – Your blog is my main link to Yankees baseball from Boone, NC. It’s simply awesome. Great job, and many thanks!

    Pete,

Thanks for spoiling us rotten. Hope your bosses are taking notice of how popular your blog is and are planning on rewarding you in the form of a nice fat christmas bonus. Soon your site hits will be rivaling the LoHUd main page.

    Keep it coming,

    Marc

Your blog is hurting productivity across corporate America! But it helps us get through the day….keep it up Pete.

    Pete –

I remember when the blogs began, and I’ve been along for the ride ever since.

Susie has a lot of good ideas and does a superb job as the Sports Editor.

You are lucky to have her in that job.

    Pete,

I only found this blog shortly before Opening Day this season and I have to say this is the best source of information I have seen for breaking Yankee news so thanks a whole lot.
